UNA VITA DA MEDIANO
Conosco un calciatore. ora si occupa di arte contemporanea. Hai un lungo passato da calciatore di discreto successo. Direi che è un dato sufficiente a considerarti un gallerista quantomeno atipico. O uno sportivo insolito. Come hai iniziato la prima delle tue carriere? Io, fino ai 15 anni non sapevo parlare l'italiano e non conoscevo altro che la mia città, e mi dicevo che fare il calciatore fosse il massimo. Nessun’altra vita professionale mi avrebbe dato la possibilità di esaudire alcuni desideri: come conoscere Margaretha Von Trotta, la mia regista preferita allora, conosciuta a Ferrara con il permesso di un allenatore che rimase stupito a questa mia richiesta, stupore di tutta la squadra (anche se oggi preferisco Almodovar). Ho poi avuto la possibilità di intervistare, in un ritiro prepartita, Ernesto Treccani, un grande dispensatore di emozioni. Ho incontrato anche Jack Cousteau, lo scienziato della Calypso che tanto mi aveva affascinato alla TV. Come venivano presi da quel mondo questi tuoi “moti culturali”? Pensa che per frequentare un corso di mimo con Ive Le Breton scappavo dal ritiro la sera per andare a Bologna e seguire le lezioni - mi avrebbero ucciso se lo avessero scoperto. Cercare altro, spezzare le linee, non era in qualche misura rinnegare la grandezza della Gloria Calcistica? Per me queste fughe nella cultura sono state emozionanti al pari dei successi sul campo. Certo, giocare davanti a 50-60 mila persone, sentirsi un idolo in una città perché in quell'anno sei stato il migliore della squadra, rivedersi su RAI 2 al ritorno dalla trasferta, leggere il tuo nome a caratteri cubitali sui giornali… tutto questo è meraviglioso. Ma per me che ero e sono soprattutto un curioso le conoscenze che ho fatto sono state davvero gratificanti. Ho avuto la fortuna di marcare Zico, Antognoni, Matteoli, D’Amico… Il giocatore che però mi ha emozionato di più è stato Angelo Domenghini – quando faceva l’allenatore – avevo ancora in mente le riprese in bianco e nero dei suoi mondiali del ’70 e nel rivederlo dal vivo e a colori non mi sembrava esser vero.Posted by Bambolescente at 16.10.04 19:36
